Creston Mountain Living Overview

Creston represents a return to the basics of Western North Carolina mountain land ownership. It's a place for people who like their privacy but want the opportunity to get to know their neighbors, perhaps while walking on one of the foot trails meandering through the Creston Reserve or at one of the community greens and overlooks.

The concept is to keep it simple, quiet, and serene so the natural beauty of the land takes precedence. 50% of 1100 acres is designated as Creston Reserve/Common Property which will remain undeveloped for all residents to enjoy as part of Creston living.

Today people equipped with computers, faxes, cell phones and services like UPS and Fed Ex can make the choice to live in rural havens in comfort. Creston with its beautiful mountain setting and long range views, offers a quiet sense of being. Yet nearby, the towns of Asheville NC, Hendersonville NC and Black Mountain NC, are abuzz with energy and vitality. A major consideration in mountaintop living is easy access on and off the mountain. At Creston all home sites are only a few minutes from the entrance.

The Creston entrance greets you with a sense of connection to the timeless spirit of the mountains. An artesian water grotto, followed by a dry stacked stone wall, leads up to the handcrafted gate. Drive the gentle grade, past the pond trail entrance, and up a half mile to a Cottage Neighborhood.

Located on a ridge with seven sites, this small community encircles a neighborhood green. Surrounding the neighborhood is property owned by the Creston Reserve, LLC that will remain undeveloped.

Exit the Cottage area and continue to the first overlook to view Crooked Creek Valley and the Hickory Nut Mountains to the east. Up the road past Traditional Sites is Creston Park at the roundabout.

To keep the roads and traffic at a minimum the roadways are designed not as thoroughfares but as avenues off of the roundabout, each ending in a cul de sac.

While looking for gated mountain communities in Western North Carolina remember to visit Asheville, Black Mountain, the Biltmore House, Grove Park Inn & Spa, Chimney Rock Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway.  At Creston you have to look no further to hike the trails to creeks, waterfalls and into Pisgah National Forest.
