Mike Eubank Construction, Inc. Builds Tenth Custom Home in Creston

Mike Eubank Construction, Inc. celebrates the groundbreaking of their tenth custom home in Creston Community. The construction company has consistently built homes in this mountain community for over six years.

“We feel our success at Creston is a combination of what we offer our clients along with all the attributes of this pristine mountain community,” says Owner and General Contractor Mike Eubank. “Creston has enjoyed consistent success despite the challenging real estate market, which is a testament in itself. The fact is there are currently five homes under construction at Creston with six more in the plan and review process. We’re so excited to begin this tenth home, designed by local architect Tom Lawton and owned by Alex and Merian Llera of Miami, FL. The Llera home will be the seventh home in Creston with the Eubank/Lawton collaboration.

Mike Eubank has built homes in the Black Mountain/ Montreat area for over 26 years. His stepson, Joey Reed, joined him in 2000 after graduating from UNC Asheville, and is also a licensed contractor and skilled landscaper. Mike and Joey are known for their outstanding workmanship, the positive relationships they maintain with their clients, and the excellent communication they provide the homeowner throughout the entire building process.

“Our clients are buying Black Mountain homes and Black Mountain property in Creston for retirement, relocation or second homes,” says Eubank. “They’re sold on the community’s dramatic views, abundant wildlife, and the fact that fifty percent of the acreage is permanently protected by conservation easements.”

Creston’s project director, Corey Atherton, says the Asheville mountain community's appeal has increased as buyers become more environmentally aware and are demanding green building and genuine community conservation efforts. Creston encompasses 1100 acres of breathtaking mountain land eight miles south of downtown Black Mountain. Approximately 477 acres of the land have been devoted to a conservation easement under the Foothills Land Conservancy. Creston’s conservation easements join other Foothills’ preserved lands and the Pisgah National Forest.

"The infrastructure and amenities at Creston are complete and the developer is debt free—a benefit to new and current owners in these unstable economic times,” says Atherton

Atherton comments that Eubank Construction, Inc. has established a solid and well-known reputation among buyers at Creston based on their work ethic and craftsmanship. Together, Mike and Joey oversee and complete much of the homebuilding process themselves and work with subcontractors every step of the way. The team also offers landscaping and design which allows the company to offer their clients a complete turnkey job.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Mike Eubank, Joey Reed and the rest of the team at Mike Eubank Construction to make our mountain home a reality,” says Merian Lera. “We have seen their wonderful craftsmanship firsthand and are extremely impressed to learn that Mike is as honest, trustworthy and kind as he is talented, hardworking and professional. It was evident as soon as we first visited Creston that this community is special, having been developed with the utmost respect for nature and neighbors.  Coming from a big city like Miami, we find that Creston offers all the conveniences and creature comforts of living in a metropolitan area like Asheville and all of the serenity, nature and great neighbors we are seeking.”
