The idea was to commission the Asheville area’s finest architects to design a series of mountain cottages and cabins with a smaller footprint and square footage. Over the last few years we have spoken with many prospects that had realigned their sites and focus from large mountain homes to something smaller but of very high quality. The great room with exposed beams, a large stone fireplace and open kitchen had to stay. But most people seemed to want a home plan that was more responsible to their pocketbook and the environment. This all culminated in the introduction of the Nesting Collection.
Each cottage can be tweaked and most allow for a lower terrace level taking advantage of a specific home site’s slope.
We are very excited about the collection as are the architects that designed them.
